Biography
As the Manager of Development, Jamey Lester works directly with individual and major donors from the business community, nonprofit and public sectors to advance and drive support for ALEC’s mission to promote free markets, free enterprise, and limited government policies. Prior to joining ALEC, Jamey spent over three years working in direct response marketing, campaign management and fundraising, which allowed him to travel extensively advocating for candidates and issues that furthered conservative principles.
You probably won’t find a more outgoing person. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, playing blues or country on the guitar and cheering on his favorite sports teams, which include Auburn Football, Duke Basketball and Atlanta sports. He is a former collegiate golf all-american at Huntingdon College where he also serves on the Alumni Board. He loves traveling, tasting different styles of bbq and reading history and political science books as well. Jamey and his wife, Mandy, live in Del Ray Alexandria and attend Waterfront D.C. church.
