Statement from ALEC on the Future of Iran

Arlington, VA – The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) released the following statement on the future of Iran:

For nearly 50 years, the people of Iran have been oppressed by a brutal regime that exported terror through its proxies around the world. Now, with the support of the United States, Israel, and our Arab partners, the people of Iran—who, for weeks, have defied their authoritarian rulers in the face of persecution—have the best opportunity in nearly half a century to overthrow their oppressors and ring in a new era of freedom and opportunity. ALEC stands with the Iranian people in hopes that they seize this moment for themselves and their posterity.
