ALEC-FreedomWorks Legislator of the Week
Colorado Representative Lori Saine is serving her fifth year representing the 63rd District. She serves as the Regional Sales Director for Text Mobile Alerts and has previously served as a City Councilwoman for the city of Dacono. Additionally, she served as coordinator and instructor for Constitutional Kids Patriot Camp, a day camp that teaches about the Constitution and American Patriotism.
In 2012, Rep. Saine was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives and was elected by her peers as House Republican Caucus Chair in 2016. She is an active member of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) and serves as the Colorado State Chair. She has sponsored legislation that focuses on improving the quality of women’s healthcare and decreasing taxes on small businesses across the state of Colorado.
In addition to her work in the legislature, Rep. Saine serves as a member on the Legislative Audit Committee, the Legislative Council Committee and also serves on the House Agriculture, Livestock, and Natural Resources Committee. Rep. Saine has won numerous awards for her work in water law, including distinguished service and outstanding service awards from the Weld County Farm Bureau, representing one of the top ten counties in the nation for agricultural production. Rep. Saine is also the Colorado Union of Taxpayers 2016 House Champion and an Americans for Prosperity Champion of Economic Freedom.
In her personal life Rep. Saine is a dedicated mother and proud member of the Rocky Mountain Christian Church. She plays an active role within her community and helped initiate the Carbon Valley Veteran’s Memorial Project. She volunteers with Carbon Valley Young Life, Habitat for Humanity, and the Denver Rescue Mission. Rep. Saine and her husband live with their daughter in Firestone, Colorado.
