There are a lot of good stories in this year’s edition of Rich States Poor States. It really depends on what state you live in, whether you’re getting the good news or the bad news.
The good news is that in some state capitals that are highlighted the states in this report, they are making strides to make sure that taxpayers are able to keep more of their hard-earned dollars. They’re trying to foster economic growth in their states to attract job creators. There are a lot of good and valuable lessons learned in this year’s Rich States Poor States report that I think hopefully state legislators take into account moving forward.

This is sort of a little bit of bonus content for you. This is not something that’s captured in Rich States, Poor States, but there are policies that whether it’s energy or education, healthcare price transparency, all of these things matter, I believe for how a state can position itself for economic growth and to attract job creators and taxpayers.
