Deadline for Return and Receipt of all Ballots Act
Deadline for Receipt of Ballots. The deadline for acceptance of ballots in a general election shall be on Election Day as defined in 2 U.S.C. §7 and on the date(s) provided under [state statutes] for primary [and runoff] elections (“Election Day”). The voting period shall end at the time of the closing of the polls on Election Day. Ballots received after the closing of the polls on Election Day shall not be counted in any election.
Returning Absentee Ballots. Ballots cast by eligible absentee voters must be received in the Election Office no later than the close of the polls on Election Day for the ballot to be accepted and counted in the election.
Absentee Ballot Aggregation. Absentee ballots results may not be aggregated prior to close of polls on election day.
