Biography
Shana Sally is the Media and Public Affairs Coordinator at ALEC. Shana spends her days managing relationships with reporters, strategizing media and publication releases, and also handling the public affairs team’s finances. Although new to the workforce, Shana is not new to ALEC or the District. Shana came to ALEC as an intern for the Public Affairs team the summer before her senior year of college. Combining her passion for the free market and efficient and sustainable solutions, Shana knew ALEC was the place for her after graduation.
Originally from Rockville, Maryland, Shana came to ALEC from High Point University in North Carolina. This is where she found her love for the free market. One semester in an economics course called, “Free Enterprise and Capitalism,” and she was sold – especially after reading Atlas Shrugged. Shana graduated from HPU in May of 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and a minor in Economics. In her time at High Point, Shana served as the Vice President of Finance then President of Kappa Delta sorority, and was a Presidential Scholarship recipient.
When she’s not tweeting or reading the news in bed, Shana loves to drink wine and watch conspiracy theory documentaries. Shana may or may not have the soul of an 87-year-old woman. It’s still being looked into.
