Rep. Yvette Herrell Awarded State Chair of the Year by the American Legislative Exchange Council

Dallas, Texas (August 1, 2014)—Representative Yvette Herrell of New Mexico received the State Chair of the Year Award today from the American Legislative Exchange Council at the organization’s 41st Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas. Rep. Herrell received the award for her diligent work with ALEC membership in New Mexico.

“I am grateful for this chance to receive the State Chair of the Year award,” said Rep. Herrell. “It has been exciting and rewarding to be a part of free market, limited government discussions that are taking place in New Mexico.”

Rep. Herrell has been a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives since 2010. She serves on several legislative committees, including Business and Industry, Courts, Corrections and Justice and Economic and Rural Development. In addition to serving as the ALEC New Mexico public sector co-chair, Rep. Herrell is a member of the ALEC Task Force on International Relations and Federalism and the Task Force on Energy, Environment and Agriculture.
