On the April 19, 2020 broadcast of Meet the Press, Chuck Todd’s opening comments incorrectly implicated ALEC in supporting “re-open” protests

Meet the Press later issued a retraction on Twitter:

“On a Sunday segment, we left the impression through a graphic that the American Legislative Exchange Council was involved in funding and organizing anti-social distancing protests. In fact, while ALEC is promoting an effort to reopen the economy, it says, it is not involved with the protests. We regret the error.”
