ACCE Local Officials Gather for Academy on Local Governance in Colorado

Local officials from all around Colorado gathered to share ideas and learn new information on local oil and gas regulations, tax payer bill of rights, short term housing rentals and citizen appointments to boards and commissions. Speakers included academics, industry leaders and think tanks from throughout Colorado.

“Colorado is unique because the state government has given away a lot of taxing and regulatory powers to local governments. We want to make sure our members get the best information possible while creating their policies. Local policies should be rooted in limited government and free market solutions.” Jon Russell, Director of ACCE.
