Video: Governor Greg Abbott Advocates Article V Convention

Article V resolutions petitioning for the convening of a convention of the states to balance the federal budget and/or rein in federal overreach are proliferating in state legislatures across the country, and the Article V process is gaining new allies. Presidential hopeful Marco Rubio recently came out in favor of an Article V convention of the states to propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution. But perhaps the most eloquent spokesperson on this issue is Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who calls on his state to call for an Article V convention. His Texas Plan, “fixes this government run amok [and] returns lawmaking to the process enshrined in the Constitution.”  Governor Abbott’s speech above is definitely worth viewing!
