In the latest edition of Rich States, Poor States: ALEC-Laffer State Economic Competitiveness Index, Rhode Island placed 39th in terms of economic outlook. Jonathan Williams, co-author of the report and vice president of the ALEC Center for State Fiscal Reform, discussed this year’s ranking – and how the Ocean State can improve – with Representative Patricia Morgan on Common Sense Rhode Island. Williams and Morgan additionally discussed the role of ALEC in support of market-oriented, pro-taxpayer reform in statehouses nationwide.
