Chirag Shah

Chirag Shah is the Vice President for Government Affairs at AAHOA, the voice of America’s hotel owners, and manages AAHOA’s office in Washington, D.C. The Government Affairs Department is responsible for organizing advocacy efforts on behalf of, and in participation with, hoteliers, on the federal, state, and local levels. Chirag also serves on AAHOA’s Executive Leadership Team.

Previously, Chirag served as a deputy director and legal advisor at the Republican National Committee, the campaign manager for Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen, and on the staff of U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02). Chirag earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri.

Chirag serves as a board member of the following organizations: U.S. Travel Association, California Hotel and Lodging Association, Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association, Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association, Coalition of Franchisee Associations, and the Georgia Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force.
