Senator Gail Griffin is serving her seventh year in the Arizona State Senate representing the 14th District and her third year as Majority Whip. Outside of her work in the legislature, Sen. Griffin is a Real Estate Broker at Sierra Vista Realty where she has worked for over 40 years.

In 1997 Sen. Griffin was elected to the Arizona House of Representatives where she served until 2001 and was then elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2011. Sen. Griffin is also an active member of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). She has sponsored and cosponsored legislation focused on providing necessary reforms to Arizona’s education system so that all students across Arizona have the opportunity to succeed. She believes in less government, lower taxes, personal responsibility and the free enterprise system.

In addition to Sen. Griffin’s work, she remains active on numerous committees. Her involvement includes serving Chairman of the Natural Resources, Energy and Water Committee, as a member of the Rules Committee and as a member of the Government Committee.

In her personal life, Sen. Griffin has volunteered annually for the past 15 years with Girl’s State, a program to educate young women in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of American citizenship. She is also a Stephens Minister with her local church.
