State Legislator of the Month, September 2025: Montana Rep. Kerri Seekins-Crowe and Sen. Ken Bogner

The State Legislator of the Month highlights successes and acknowledges those who personify the principles at the core of ALEC–limited government, free markets, and federalism.

We are pleased to announce Montana Sen. Ken Bogner and Rep. Kerri Seekins-Crowe as the ALEC State Legislators of the Month for September 2025. Serving as State Chairs for Montana, both have shown exceptional leadership in strengthening ALEC’s presence and growing a network of engaged legislators across the country. They played a vital role in recruiting and engaging colleagues and partners for the recent Regulatory Reform Academy and graciously hosted ALEC in Billings, Montana for these important discussions.

Sen. Bogner, who serves as Senate President Pro Tempore, represents Senate District 18 in Miles City. First elected in 2019, he has established himself as a steady leader in Helena, actively engaging colleagues and supporting the ALEC mission across the state. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he continues to bring experience and service-minded leadership to his role in the Senate.

Rep. Seekins-Crowe, who represents District 39 covering the Heights neighborhood of Billings, has served in the Montana House since 2021. She plays an active role on the Education, Business and Labor, and Fish, Wildlife, and Parks committees. As State Chair, she has recruited several new members, engaged colleagues, and consistently represented Montana at ALEC events, including the State Chair Fly-In in Washington, DC—a valuable opportunity for leadership training, camaraderie, and connecting with the ALEC network.

Together, Sen. Bogner and Rep. Seekins-Crowe embody the qualities of ALEC State Chairs: proactive recruitment, relationship-building, and sustained engagement. Their leadership ensures Montana’s voice is heard within the ALEC national network and reflects the ALEC principles of limited government, free markets, and federalism.

Congratulations, Sen. Ken Bogner and Rep. Kerri Seekins-Crowe!
