Biography

Gabriella M. Uli is a Legislative Outreach and Engagement Manager at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). Her role involves developing connections with elected officials and partners to advance shared policies and priorities within state and local governments across the United States.

Prior to ALEC, Gabriella served at the White House within the Office of Cabinet Affairs, the Office of National Drug Control Policy and as Associate Director for the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. Gabriella’s tenure here included liaising directly with cabinet secretaries, senior administration officials and elected officials from various levels of government, including state, local, territorial and tribal leaders. She has contributed to significant issues like declaring the opioid crisis a public health emergency and coordinated over 1,000 briefings on COVID-19 with stakeholders.

Gabriella also has meaningful experience executing policy from working in key roles on the Presidential Transition Team and the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.

Gabriella earned a BA from Miami University of Ohio in Anthropology and Latin American Studies. At Miami, she was a student-athlete figure skater competing nationally for four years.

A California native raised in Northern Virginia, Gabriella now calls Washington, D.C. home. She is passionate about exploring from coast to coast while taking any opportunity to learn about the many cultures that shape our great nation. Between carrying out state visits with ALEC and her love for travel, Gabriella’s goal is to visit all 50 state capitals.
