Originally a Nebraska native from a rural background, she graduated from Houston Christian University with a double major in political science and music, was drawn to politics and moved to the Washington, D.C. area and began work on Capitol Hill. While a Congressional staff member, she performed on stage in Georgetown and across the nation with The Capitol Steps in sung political satire.
Cynthia served as Executive Assistant to the Chair of the Board for the Medical Faculty Associates at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., while she earned a master’s degree in Tourism Administration from GWU. For over twenty years, Cynthia planned and managed high profile special events, meetings and conferences across the nation. For twelve years, she served as the adjunct professor teaching a Fall class in Special Events for the Northern Virginia Community College-Annandale. She served as an expert consultant for the U.S. Department of Justice as Internal Communications Coordinator and later supported former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft as his executive assistant at The Ashcroft Group.
Cynthia’s background includes experience designing interiors, florals and clothing, but she later found her heart drove her back to the performing arts. She records professionally as a voice actor and will venture deeper into film acting. She can often be found watching classic movies and comedians to study their technique and loves to regularly practice different dialects. On the flip side, she shares an affinity with her father in loving horses and enjoys riding western style.
