State Legislator of the Month – UT Senate President Stuart Adams
Thank you, Pres. Stuart Adams
It is our privilege to announce Utah State Senate President J. Stuart Adams as this month’s recipient of the ALEC-FreedomWorks State Legislator of the Month award. This award is used to highlight substantive state policy successes by state legislators – bringing their local story to a national platform.
President Adam’s experience in sound fiscal governing and demonstrating excellence at the state level makes him the best leader for the job as the ALEC 2021 Chairman of the Board. Thanks to the exceptional legislative efforts of the Utah legislators and President Adams, Utah has remained economically robust and preserved not only lives, but livelihoods throughout the pandemic. President Adams cites common sense economic values – spending less than you make, carrying a rainy-day fund, etc. – as reasons why Utah has retained a number one ranking in the ALEC Rich States, Poor States ranking for over 14 years.
The necessary principles for achieving such success are individual liberty and free enterprise – both of which thrive in Utah. By embracing these principles, local businesses are allowed to succeed and remain resilient. Allowing a state’s business to freely engage its economy helps hard workers and innovators flourish in a pro-growth environment. President Adams has ensured Utah weaves these principles into policy, and their long tenure as an economic powerhouse in the nation proves these principles work.
Thank you, President Adams, for protecting individual liberty and free enterprise in the states. Congratulations on being the newest ALEC-FreedomWorks State Legislator of the Month.
