Biography
Christian Whittle is the Editor and Research Director for ALEC. He coordinates with ALEC’s various task forces and centers to produce articles, newsletters, op-eds, and yearly reports advancing the principles of limited government, free markets, and federalism.
Prior to joining ALEC in 2025, Christian served as Associate Editor for Consumers’ Research. There he wrote and edited numerous editorials, academic papers, letters, and reports on consumer protection issues. In addition, he led research projects covering proxy advisor trends, SEC no-action letters, state pensions, ESG, and more.
Christian began his career as a staff writer for the Santa Barbara News-Press, covering business news, local government, and nonprofits in Santa Barbara County. A DMV native and George Washington University alum, he completed a fellowship with the National Journalism Center and worked in podcasting and video production at Radio America. Christian lives in Richmond, VA, with his wife and child.
