American Legislative Exchange Council Hosts 2016 Spring Task Force Summit in Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (May 6, 2016)—The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) will bring together state legislators and stakeholders this week at the Spring Task Force Summit in Pittsburgh. During the May 6 meeting, attendees will share ideas and experiences and develop research-based model policies focused on limited government, free markets and federalism.
“I am proud to serve as national chairman of the nation’s leading legislative organization for effective state policy.” said Senator Leah Vukmir, Wisconsin State Assistant Majority Leader. “ALEC is a trusted organization that brings together liberty-minded legislators who share proven policy solutions.”
During the conference, members will participate in various task force meetings and policy workshops.
“Free market ideas are gaining momentum in the states,” said ALEC CEO Lisa B. Nelson. “When it comes to the issues facing hardworking taxpayers, ALEC legislator members are proving they are more responsible, effective and accountable to their communities. The Spring Task Force Summit serves as a forum for them to share their experiences in the states.”
