Let the States Decide

"State legislatures and state government have the most direct impact on the lives of Americans."

ALEC National Chairwoman Karen Fann Weighs in on Leaked Roe Decision Document

Arlington, Va.  –  The National Chairwoman of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) today issued the following statement in reaction to the leaked initial draft majority opinion in a decision affecting the Roe v Wade decision and circulated inside the Court.

“The leaked draft is not the opinion of the Court. With the Supreme Court nothing is definitive or final until an opinion is released from the bench. However, if the Court does overturn Roe, it will be another example of how state legislatures and state government (i.e., COVID lockdown restrictions, education policy) have the most direct impact on the lives of Americans.” – Senate President Karen Fann, 2022 ALEC National Chairwoman, Arizona Senate
