ALEC Statement on the Devastating Texas Floods

Arlington, VA – ALEC CEO Lisa B. Nelson released the following statement on the devastating flash flooding in Texas:

Our hearts and prayers are with the families and communities impacted by the devastating floods across Texas and the South. The loss of life and the destruction of homes, schools, and infrastructure is a powerful reminder of how fragile life can be and how quickly everything can change. But even in the face of disaster, we’ve seen the best of America as the courage of our first responders and public servants was on full display.
